Alex Cohen

Let’s be honest - in-flight Wi-Fi is expensive. With hourly passes starting at $7.00, day passes at $19.00 and monthly access at $49.00, connecting to the internet during your travels can add up really quick. Check out some of the rates from the largest inflight Wi-Fi provider in the US, Gogo:

Although getting online during your flight can be expensive, there are a few ways to cut down on the expense using the right credit cards.

Which credit cards will get you online?

There are a couple of credit cards that offer a yearly number of passes for free in-flight Wi-Fi access.

Discover It Miles

Discover It Miles

The Discover It Miles card offers a statement credit of up to $30 each year you have the card for in-flight Wi-FI purchases! The best part about this benefit is that the card has no annual fee - so you’re getting a fantastic perk without paying upwards of $75 for many travel cards

US Bank FlexPerks Travel Visa

Apply  Now

Gogo and US Bank have partnered to offer FlexPerks travel cardholders 12 inflight passes each year! Although this card comes with a $49 annual fee, it’s waived the first year you have the card. You’ll easily earn enough value to outweigh the annual fee - the FlexPerks Travel card offers a $25 travel reimbursement credit on top of the 12 passes, which we value at $228!

Other Tips

At the moment, we haven’t found any other personal credit cards that offer inflight Wi-Fi passes. With that said, there are still a few ways you can get online for free!

Fly Jetblue!

That’s right! Jetblue offers free inflight Wi-Fi on every single aircraft! You can read more about it here, but I can confirm, it is fantastic. The internet is fast enough to stream music, movies or just shop online

Have T-Mobile Service

T-Mobile partnered with Gogo to offer you 1 free hour of Wi-Fi on supported flights and unlimited messaging the rest of your flight. You’ll see a Gogo plan option on eligible flights where you simply put in your T-Mobile number, click connect, and you’re good to go!

In addition, with the T-Mobile OnePlus plan for $10/mo, you'll get unlimited access to Gogo Inflight Wifi during your flight.
